bubble cat

Yesterday and today Bubble has decided that she is a cat. She has cat food, water, and milk bowls (empty, thankfully) and a cat bed and she comes near and waits for me or her dad to pet her and then she purrs. So yesterday I was singing “Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur” to her and petting her. At dinnertime, we sat at the table, held hands, and she prayed, “meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow.” Computerguy looked at each other and together said, “Amen.” So be it. Then she decided she wanted to sleep in the “cat bed” in the family room. We saw no harm in it, so we let her. She slept there all night. The only point where it became a problem was this morning when I wanted to make a latte (the family room is connected to the kitchen). I had tea instead.

My almost 3 year old is much more often a dog–the closest I think we are to having a dog anytime soon! And I love that you sang “Soft kitty, warm kitty” to her!
