marshmallows

Bubble is sitting with a bag of S’mores Goldfish, “I’m just eating all the marshmallows.”
I observe that if she eats all the marshmallows now, there won’t be any left to go with the crackers the next time.
She thinks about that and says, “I’m just enjoying eating the marshmallows.”

Our kids and the associate pastor’s kids were the only little ones at the poetry workshop the other day. His 8ish-year-old was trying to draw Bubble out. It was fun to watch. He was the one who introduced her (having politely secured our permission) to the S’mores Goldfish. And the 3-year-old shared her coloring book. They are some pretty terrific kids. I’m just saying…
